SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it can be alarmed with regard to the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area each day. The provider level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
